OK, so for those of you who don’t know what’s going on here, Gabby (the African American) won this olympic gymnastics thing… she got gold. She’s American. The girl crying is a Russian girl (I forget her name… Dx) who lost and got second place. Naturally, she’s crying, because I mean.. who wouldn’t? An American girl cried the other day when she didn’t make the top two of the American team to go on to the next round, and everyone was like ‘oh poor her’. Other people from other countries are allowed to cry too! Anyways, Gabby was being NICE and trying to comfort her… she was being a good sport. And whoever the fuck made this decided to turn it into something really mean and bitchy. This is why people find Americans as cocky selfish bastards! We’re not making a good name for ourselves by doing this! Seriously, this makes me sick. How could you turn something sweet (aka, Gabby being nice to her opponent) into something really fucking mean? I am fucking outraged by this. I live in America, I root for the US in the Olympics, but I sure as hell don’t support this. GUESS WHAT? PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS TOO! SHOCKER, ISNT IT? RUSSIANS HAVE FEELINGS, CHINESE HAVE FEELINGS, DUTCH HAVE FEELINGS, SPANIARDS HAVE FEELINGS, BRAZILIANS HAVE FEELINGS, MEXICANS HAVE FEELINGS, CANADIANS HAVE FEELINGS, HELL EVERYONE HAS FEELINGS.

I’m reblogging it because i want to share /my/ opinion. Have a problem? Great. Tell me all about it. But I’m not going to sit here and not stand up for other people just because they’re from another country.
Seriously, everyone needs to grow up and see this for what it is - Gabby being a good sport. Instead of turning this into something negative and mean to the Russian, why couldnt you have turned it into something nice and pleasant, celebrating how wonderful Gabby is! Like the song “I’ll stand by you” or …something else friendly and positive?
